AL-JOUF: Two men who allegedly stabbed a 20-year-old Saudi in the Al-Qara neighborhood of Al-Jouf have been arrested, police said yesterday.
The young Saudi is currently receiving treatment for multiple stab wounds at Al-Jouf Hospital, the police said.
The youth told police he was traveling with a friend when another car with four men inside blocked the road ahead.
When he stopped, the men dragged him out of the car and attacked him with knives and sticks. The motive for the attack is not known. Police are continuing investigations.
Meanwhile, police are searching for a man who stole a car in Al-Qara on Sunday evening. Police say the car was seen heading north shortly after it was reported stolen and a police patrol gave chase.
The car, however, became stuck in sand on a mud road outside Al-Jouf. The thief then fled on foot and disappeared into a hilly area.
