BALASMER: Police in this southern Saudi city are on the lookout for a man who was found lurking inside the compound of a girls’ school. According to a local daily’s report, teachers and students freaked out when they saw a man wearing a ski mask (the mask of choice for all kinds of bad people doing bad things!) wandering the halls of the school leering at the girls. The incident was so freaky that teachers locked students in classrooms and called the police. Unfortunately the weirdo escaped, leading school authorities to discuss the issue of raising the height of the compound walls and increasing security.
Rodent robs police of peace of mind
MAKKAH: The alarm at a bank here went off not once but twice in one night, perplexing the responding police officers who found no crooks or evidence of forced entry. A local daily reported yesterday that after responding to the alarm a second time the police searched thoroughly to discover a large sewage rat scurrying around in the bank lobby. Police promptly pursued the perp back down the pipes from where it came.
