- RIYADH: Real estate company Dar Al-Arkan on Tuesday concluded deals valued at SR1 billion with local companies to set up the Riyadh Shams project in the capital.
Saud Al-Gusayer, director general of Dar Al-Arkan, said the first stage of the housing project will be developed on a 5 million square-meter land at a cost of SR250 million.
The first phase of the project - to be completed by 2010 - will include infrastructure development, including the designing of 400 to 600 square-meter villas and sales offices.
Besides state-of-the-art electronic facilities, the complex will have a school, a mall, a mosque and a play area of 1 million sq meters, including a garden and park.
The company has some 25 projects throughout the Kingdom, including Al-Tilal compound in Madinah, Al-Qasr in Riyadh and Al-Khozama and Arooz palace in Jeddah.
