DAMMAM: Dammam police are investigating a false claim by an Asian expatriate made to his sponsor reporting the kidnapping of a 31-year-old Saudi woman, a local daily reported on Sunday.
The expatriate claims that kidnappers were demanding SR3,000 in order to release the woman. Police found out that the claim was false and that the Asian expatriate fabricated the story in order to get the money and pay it to someone else. The expatriate was held for questioning.
