JEDDAH: The fourth annual gathering of male secondary school students will be held in Jeddah next week under the slogan: "Your Future is in Your Hands ... Take Good Care of It."
The three-day gathering is being organized by Iqra Office for Educational Consultations in collaboration with the Private Schools Committee at the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI) and the Education Department in Jeddah.
The gathering, to be held at the JCCI’s Ismail Abu Dawoud Hall, will be attended by a number of experts and educationalists who will discuss issues such as the preparatory year at universities, university admission exams, student abilities and educational opportunities.
The annual gathering is aimed at helping final high school year students plan their educational and vocational future and prepare them mentally for university. It is also aimed at enabling students decide their strengths and curb the number of university dropouts.
Lectures and seminars will be held during the gathering, which will also be attended by businessmen, sociologists and psychologists. An exhibition on university education will also be concurrently held with the gathering.
