According to him, he met the woman two years ago when she came to his shop in Al-Faisaliya district. They exchanged numbers and began a relationship. According to the man, the woman’s sister and her friend were in the apartment at the time of the murder and they were also aware of the relationship, Al-Madinah reported. The killer said that during the relationship he gave her money regularly.

He said his salary was SR2,800 per month and that he gave her SR1,500 of that sum, not including gifts he bought for her.

He further said in his confession that he suspected that she was being unfaithful to him and so he took time off from work in order to monitor her movements. He watched her for several days and when he finally confronted her, she told him he had no right to monitor her movements. The night of the murder, he called her and asked if he could visit her to talk. She said that he could and she would invite her sister and her friend to the apartment and they would all sit together.

He said, “I wanted to confront her about her infidelity using the evidence that I had. I went to the apartment and she put me in a separate room where I sat. I was not angry with her but all that I wanted was to know why she was being unfaithful to me. I discovered from what she said that she was not telling the truth. She hit me in my face and said that I had no right to order her about. She cursed me and called me names.”

The man then went to the kitchen and took a knife with the intention of frightening her. He said that he did not remember anything except that he stabbed her three times — in the chest, neck and shoulder. He escaped from the apartment and was arrested three hours later.
