"Investigations and arrests were made following a man's complaint that two youths had blackmailed his sister, saying that they would post her photos on the Internet if she did not comply with their demands, " the official said.

Police also arrested a young man involved in a similar case in north Jeddah. He was blackmailing a woman.

In another development in the same district, police arrested an African expatriate following a complaint that he had stolen SR2,500 while washing a car.

Investigations are underway in all three cases.
