A Customs Department source said officials at Al-Hudaitha thwarted three attempts to smuggle drugs through the border. One of the smugglers had tried to hide the drugs in his private parts.

The other two had hidden packages in a trouser leg and a bag.

Customs officials also seized drugs hidden inside a truck. At Al-Bat’ha, officers foiled a smuggler who had attempted to smuggle liquor and over SR1.6 million in cash from a neighboring country by hiding the goods in his truck.
