- RIYADH: The president of the Shoura council, Abdullah Al-Asheikh, has accepted an invitation from the heads of Pakistan’s Parliament to visit the country.
The invitation, from the speaker of the Pakistani National Assembly and the chairman of the Pakistani upper chamber, the Senate, was conveyed to the Shoura president by Pakistan’s ambassador in Riyadh, Umar Khan Ali Sherzai, on Sunday.
The ambassador commended the role of the Shoura, particularly its plans to ensure greater participation by women in the development. He and the Shoura president discussed future cooperation between the two bodies.
