Following a tip-off, a police team raided the apartment where the suspects lived. Police found distilling equipment and large quantities of liquor in various stages of preparation.

Two 200-liter barrels with liquid for distilling, eight barrels of brewed liquor and two 100-liter barrels filled with purified liquor were discovered. Police also seized two coolers, five 20-liter barrels of liquor and 204 bottles already filled with liquor, a police source said.

The women members of the gang were used to supply the liquor to customers, he said.

The source added that three women, not related to the two men, stayed with them in the apartment. Police are investigating the extent of their illegal trade.
