Fitaihi was chosen by International Thompson Publishing (ITP) from 16 CEOs in different sectors, including energy, banking and aviation. The award was handed as part of the ITP’s annual “CEO Middle East KSA Awards 2010.”

Dr. Fitaihi is a Harvard graduate. He lived in the US for 25 years where he practiced in several hospitals before returning to Saudi Arabia with a vision of improving health-care services in the Middle East.

It took him nine years to complete planning the IMC. The hospital was inaugurated by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah and Crown Prince Sultan, deputy premier and minister of defense and aviation, in 2006.

ITP publishes reports and runs annual surveys, such as the Saudi rich list and the most influential Arabs.
