JEDDAH: Police here arrested an African man on extortion charges after receiving a complaint from an Indian foreign worker, a local daily reported on Wednesday.
According to police, the man stole his victim’s passport, mobile phone and SR3,000 and then called two days later demanding SR1,000 for the return of the passport. The victim informed police, who arrested the man at the rendezvous point.
