The event aims at offering hundreds of training opportunities for Bahrainis as well as the participating delegates during the three-day event.

The agenda, started with the Technical Seminar, which attended by senior leaders of Information Technology and Communication in Bahrain, the Gulf States and North Africa.

"Introducing the e-government program within the Kingdom of Bahrain was a significant qualitative shift for the community, and providing eservices through the program is not only enough to create a huge change in the community, therefore those in charge of the e-government program need to present new projects and innovative events to aspire the change in the society and enable greater understanding of technology and eservices," said Mohammed Ali Al-Qaed, CEO of Bahrain eGovernment Authority.

"Cisco Networkers will contribute to this process of change, by providing training opportunities for hundreds of Bahrainis in a short period and through minimal cost. Furthermore, the conference consists of several activities in parallel, and provides many training opportunities for Bahrainis to obtain international certifications in the field of information technology and networks," he said.

Several technical workshops are accompanying the conference, which will be a great opportunity to meet with international experts coming to Bahrain especially for the event.

Although Bahrain is hosting the conference for the first time it succeeded in attracting large numbers of attendees.

"Out of the 3,000 delegates, more than 2,500 have registered to attend the sessions and workshops of the conference of professionals and executives from more than 64 countries around the world," Al-Qaed said.
