King Abdullah called the UAE leader on Thursday after it was confirmed that Sheikh Ahmad’s body was found in Morocco.

Sheikh Ahmad was first reported to have gone missing after his glider crashed into a reservoir near the Sidi Mohamed Ben Abdallah Dam, south of the Moroccan capital, Rabat, last Friday.

The king also prayed to the Almighty to bestow peace and mercy on the soul of the deceased.

Crown Prince Sultan, deputy premier and minister of defense and aviation, also sent his condolences the death of Sheikh Ahmad.

Sheikh Khalifa thanked the king and crown prince for their noble feelings.

Sheikh Ahmad was the managing director of Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA), one of the world's biggest sovereign funds.
