After vetting the applications, the ministry will choose the best candidates for these jobs, it added.

According to the conditions put by the ministry, applicants should be holding government jobs approved in the general scale of the civil service and should have spent at least two years in government service.

For the employees of the ministry itself or other municipalities, the applicant should be in the seventh grade and his educational qualifications should not be less than the higher secondary school certificate. Applicants from other ministries or government organizations should be in the ninth grade and hold a university degree.

The ministry said this step was part of a project to develop municipalities and municipal councils to ensure better services to citizens.
