JEDDAH: Police are currently investigating the cause of a Saudi withdrawing a complaint against a housemaid that she stole SR36,000 from his house in Jeddah's Al-Shati district. The man withdrew his charges after the maid told police during interrogations that he abused her, was not paying her salary and threatened that he would hand her over to police whenever she demanded to be paid. The police are expected to transfer the case to prosecutors.
