- MAKKAH: Business leaders in Makkah and Aleppo stressed the need for drafting laws to facilitate the rapid growth of mutual trade between Saudi Arabia and Syria in a reception on Sunday organized by the Makkah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI) in honor of a delegation of the Aleppo Chamber of Commerce in Makkah.
The Aleppo delegation was headed by the chairman of the Aleppo chamber, Hassan Ahmad Zaido, who is also deputy chairman of the Syrian Federation of Chambers of Commerce. Mazen Tunisi, deputy chairman of MCCI, and chamber members participated in the discussions.
Both sides demanded enacting methods that would help businessmen invest and establish companies in both countries.
The visiting delegation also briefed local businessmen the role Aleppo could play with its vast agricultural and industrial potential. They also stressed the need to hold bilateral trade exhibitions.
