- TAIF: Six people suspected of being involved in several thefts have been arrested in Taif.
- The arrests were made after Taif police’s criminal investigation department were investigating several robberies and thefts at a number of shops in the city, Al Madinah daily reported, quoting police sources.
Turki Al-Shahri, spokesman for Taif police, said most of the stolen goods were recovered from the gang, including mobile phones, prepaid cards and over SR20,000 cash stolen from a mobile phone sales outlet.
Officers started investigating after receiving a complaint from an expatriate working at a mobile shop. More than 20 handsets and several prepaid cards had been stolen from the shop.
Police officials are currently questioning the suspects.
