- YANBU: Angry over having been detained for khulwa (illegal seclusion with a member of the opposite sex), a young man reportedly called in numerous threats to the local precinct of the Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice (Haia) and was subsequently arrested.
According to Wednesday’s edition of Al-Madinah newspaper, the man requested that the chief of the Haia’s local office help him buck the khulwa charge. When the official refused, the man resorted to making the threats that got him arrested.
