MAKKAH: An African teenager, 19, was sentenced to two years and 1,200 lashes for raping a seven-year-old girl of African origin. The Makkah public court's verdict came after a confession, according to a report carried by Al-Madinah daily on Thursday. The court found that the minor girl had been subjected to rape at least six times, after she was abducted from a shop and taken to an unknown location. A patrol police unit caught the man after receiving a tip-off from the local people. The man was found in mysterious circumstances along with the girl inside a mini bus parked in a dark area in the outskirts of the city.
