The man's arrest also led to several other victims coming forward and the discovery of a stash of pornography at his home.

Ali Al-Qarni, official spokesman for the Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice (Haia) in the Eastern Province, confirmed that an expatriate driver had been arrested for pedophilia.

“We also discovered pornography at the man's home. The man had also placed secret cameras in his car. He would film the women he would drive and also himself abusing young girls,” said Al-Qarni. He added that the man is currently in police custody while investigations continue. Sources told Al-Watan daily that the man had previously been accused of sex abuse three times.

The General Prosecution and Investigation Board is currently investigating the charges against the man which includs sexually-abusing minors, taking photographs of young girls and sexually-harassing them.

On arrest, the man admitted to engaging in sexual intercourse with the eight-year-old girl. Commission members arrested the man after the girl told her father that the man had been buying her candy and asking her to touch his genitals.

The father informed the commission and said he was shocked at what his daughter told him and sickened that a man could do a thing like this to such a young girl.
