Director of Health Affairs in Jeddah Sami Badawood opened the 20-bed ward.

He also opened the hospital’s website, which aims to enlighten people about the harms of drug abuse and familiarize the public with the hospital’s services. 

Speaking on the occasion, Amal Director Dr. Osama Arafa gave a brief outline of the services offered to in-patients.

According to Osama Ibrahim, general supervisor of the Amal Hospital, the success rate of rehab programs in the hospital is 85 percent.

“This is comparable to the achievement rates of the most advanced rehabilitation centers in the world,” he said.
