The bank said in a statement that its total operating income for the first quarter of 2010 reached $300 million, a decrease of 2.8 percent from $309 million for the same period last year. Special commissions profit reached $214 million for the first quarter, a decrease of 12 percent compared to $243 million for the same quarter last year.

Meanwhile, Q1 earnings per share reached $0.26, compared to $0.29 for the same period last year. The bank's assets reached $29.3 billion as of March 31, 2010, a decrease of 2.1 percent against $30 billion by end of March last year.
