Kia Cadenza, a new high-tech luxury sedan, was unveiled in Jeddah on Saturday night. “The new car represents yet another huge leap forward in our quest to become a truly elite automaker that can compete with the industry’s leading players,” Michael Sohn, Kia Motors’ deputy general manager at regional headquarters for Middle East and Africa Operations, said at its launch at Jeddah Hilton.

“Cadenza symbolizes our drive and determination to surprise the world with our stylish, high performance cars that possess world-class levels of quality, safety and high-tech convenience features while still maintaining unbeatable value for money,” he said. “The past few years have been a truly exciting ride for Kia Motors, and 2010 is no exception In fact, we are in the midst of the industry’s most aggressive new product introduction cycle.”

Abdullatif Bin Hamad Al-Jabr, chairman of Al-Jabr Automotive, the sole Kingdomwide distributor for Kia Motors, said Kia had emerged as one of the fastest growing carmakers the world over. Featuring a powerful yet economical six cylinder 290HP engine, the new Cadenza is designed with dynamic shapes that give it a commanding presence, while the extremely comfortable interior includes state-of-the-art luxury equipment such as the 5.5 or 6.5 colored screen that works as GPS with direct satellite connection, and the hi-tech sound system that plays MP3 formats, operates iPods and has a USB extension for communication.

DM Healthcare, a $300 million group and one of the largest health-care service providers in the region, has announced its expansion plan “Vision 2015.” The group’s vision is to set up about 300 health-care facilities with an investment of $500 million across the Middle East and India.
