- JEDDAH: Iranian Umrah flights resumed on Friday with the arrival of pilgrims who will perform Umrah this year.
- The batch of pilgrims arrived in Madinah are part of 400,000 Iranian pilgrims set to perform Umrah this year.
According to Saad Al-Qurashi, head of the National Committee for Haj and Umrah, “Iran had decided to stop the flights and Iran is the one responsible for resuming them.”
He denied any reports in recent months about harassment of Iranian pilgrims in Madinah, saying Saudi authorities mobilize all their forces to ensure that all pilgrims perform Umrah in comfort and safety.
