According to police, he stabbed the woman in front of their children, killing her instantly.

Officers managed to arrest the man one hour after being informed of the murder. Police say the husband killed his wife follwing an argument.

The couple was initially living together in Yanbu province, but after they had an argument the victim left the house and traveled to Deba, 750 km north of Jeddah, to her family’s home.

A few days later, the man came to Deba in an attempt to bring her back home.

The situation allegedly escalated into a physical confrontation between the two and the husband beat his wife badly before taking a knife and stabbing her all over her body in front of their children.

The husband is then said to have escaped on foot, leaving his car parked in front of the house.

Spokesman for Tabuk police Col. Saleh Al-Harbi said they arrested the man right after they received a report of the crime.

“According to our investigations, the man murdered his wife because of a family dispute.

Police will continue investigations to find out the motives behind the murder,” he added.
