- JEDDAH: A Saudi man and his daughter died Wednesday evening in a fire that partially destroyed a seven-story residential building on Prince Miteb Street in Jeddah's Safa district, Civil Defense spokesman Capt.
- Abdullah Al-Amri said.
He said two firefighting units took part in efforts to contain the blaze.
Another fire that occurred in Rabwa district on Tuesday injured six expatriate workers, he added.
In both fires, the buildings had to be evacuated. He said a shoddy building in an underdeveloped area of Jeddah collapsed on Tuesday but did not cause any deaths or injuries to residents.
