Demonstrations for Shotokan karate, judo and self-defense were held during the seminar.

A group of Saudis from the Eastern Province are working hard to popularize this Brazilian martial art combat sport and self-defense that focuses on ground fighting.

Jiujitsu was derived from the Japanese martial art of kodokan judo in the early 20th century, which emerged from a number of Ryu (schools) of Japanese jiujitsu in the 19th century.

The seminar was held with a view to raise awareness about losing weight, lowering  heart rate, increasing stamina and endurance. It makes you feel good about yourself and provides you with a unique opportunity to train with some of the most reputed black belt martial artists in the region.

It also helps you to network, socialize, and meet people who are interested in leading a healthy life.

Jiujitsu promotes the principle that a smaller, weaker person can successfully defend himself against a bigger, stronger assailant by using leverage and proper technique — most notably by applying joint-locks and chokeholds to defeat the other person.

Several belts were awarded at the end of the seminar.
