- JEDDAH: Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) has appointed Saleh Al-Awaji as the new chairman of its board of directors.
SEC is considered the largest utility company in terms of market value in the GCC area. The company also appointed Suleiman Abdullah Al-Qadhi as deputy chairman of the board.
Al-Awaji serves as the deputy minister for electricity, and was an SEC board member. He holds a Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Strathclyde in the United Kingdom
