"We support all resolutions on the  Nagorno-Karabakh conflict," said Shoura Speaker Abdullah Al-Asheikh as the delegation arrived at Heydar Aliyev International Airport on Monday.

The Nagornoh-Karabakh conflict took place from February 1988 to May 1994 in the small enclave of Nagorno-Karabakh in southwestern Azerbaijan between the majority ethnic Armenians of Nagorno-Karabakh backed by Armenia and Azerbaijan. Turkish officials and experts will discuss the Nagorno-Karabakh negotiations process in Washington D.C. this week.

Alsheikh  added that the Kingdom's stand on the Nagorno-Karabakh issue conforms with the international resolutions issued by the UN and the OIC which support efforts of Azerbaijan to reach a peaceful settlement.

A statement issued by the Shoura Council said that the main purpose of the Saudi parliamentary delegation's visit, "was the development of relations between Azerbaijani Milli Majlis and the Shoura Council of Saudi Arabia."

The Shoura delegation will be in Azerbaijan until Friday.
