JEDDAH: Maj. Gen. Muhammad bin Abdullah Al-Ayesh has been appointed new commander of the Kingdom’s air force after promoting him to the rank of a general, the Saudi Press Agency reported Wednesday. He replaces Gen. Abdul Rahman bin Fahd Al-Faisal, who has been retired. Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah made the appointment on the recommendation of Crown Prince Sultan, deputy premier and minister of defense and aviation.
