- JEDDAH: Health Affairs Department Director Sami Badawood visited on Friday a number of government hospitals in Jeddah and announced the extension of the visitation hours during the next three days to be from 10 a.m to 12 noon and from 4 p.m.
- to 8 p.m.
He also allowed children to visit relatives confined to hospitals on the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr.
Badawood visited Al-Amal, King Fahd, King Abdul Aziz and Al-Thagher hospital. He conveyed the Eid greetings to patients, wished them quick recovery and distributed gifts.
Meanwhile, the Health Ministry has prevented entry of food and drinks from outside to hospitals saying the move was aimed at ensuring the safety of patients.
It sent a circular to all health departments kingdom wide asking them not to permit the entry of food and drinks to the hospital. The ministry, however, exempted water, tea and coffee. The hospitals provide the patients and those accompanying them with meals and drinks.
