- JEDDAH: A Sudanese man was released from King Fahd Hospital in Jeddah after suffering from severe chemical poisoning at his home.
- The victim was exposed to a toxic form of aluminum phosphide while spraying pesticides in Jeddah’s Salama district, although his health is improving.
The poisoning left the man sick on the first two days of Eid. Health personnel visited the man’s home to make sure no one else was at risk.“We keep warning people and residents of the dangers against using these types of toxic and harmful materials, which if misused could lead to death,” said Dr. Sami Badawood, director of the health affairs department in Jeddah.“His case will be under our direct supervision and we will follow-up on his case directly.”
