In an editorial in party mouthpiece Saamna published on Friday, Thackeray said: "The King of Ayodhya, Ram is today standing in the Allahabad high court pleading for justice and all the Hindu devotees of Ram are being terrorized through the medium of sticks. Is this the fear of sticks being shown to the Hindus only?" Thackeray questioned and added, "First extinguish the fire in Kashmir and then hurl unexploded bombs at the Hindus."

The Supreme Court on Thursday prevented the Lucknow Bench of the Allahabad High Court from delivering the judgment in the Babri Masjid case.

The top court will now hear an appeal for a stay on the verdict on Sept. 28. It is being feared that communal riots may break out in the country after the court ruling. Therefore, as a precautionary measure, tight security arrangements have been put in place across the country. State governments have sought the help of religious and political leaders to maintain peace and harmony after the verdict. It is in this background that Thackeray wrote the editorial.

Thackeray further wrote in the editorial, "Whatever the verdict, it would be pronounced. The question is about the Hindu faith, pride and sentiments. What kind of justice is this when we have to suppress our emotions in our own country. No court in the world can give verdict in matters relating to faith nor it can decide on it. Ram was born in Ayodhya and Ayodhya belongs to Ram. And who is this Muslim Moghul Emperor Babar to exile Ram from his Kingdom. And how many times Ram would be sent into exile from his Kingdom," Thackeray questioned.

"In the name of maintaining peace and harmony, a conspiracy is being hatched making the Hindus impotent through the means of terrorizing them with sticks. And this type of conspiracy is an old tactic of the government. It is a conspiracy to wipe out the name "Hindu" and their followers - the Hindus from the country. And it appears that this is the conspiracy hatched by the Nehru-Gandhi dynasty to permanently wipe out the Hindu culture from India," Thackeray wrote.

In the concluding part of the editorial, Thackeray called upon the Hindus to be ready and on the next hearing of the verdict, "keep your bows and arrows in a state of preparedness to counter the enemy."
