- MUMBAI: The prosecutor representing the Maharashtra government told judges on Tuesday that the lone surviving terrorist in 26/11 attacks Muhammed Aamir Ajmal Qasab is becoming aggressive and violent.
Ujjwal Nikam said Qasab had even attacked a prison guard at the high security Arthur Road prison in Mumbai. Defense lawyers had filed an appeal challenging the death sentence passed against Qasab by the special court judge ML Tahilyani in May. In the hearing Nikam showed the judges a footage showing Qasab attacking the guard. Nikam also opposed a request by Qasab’s lawyers to meet Qasab without police presence.
