Hail police spokesman Lt. Col. Ali Al-Zinairi said on Wednesday that descriptions of the attacker were circulatedto all checkpoints and police stations in the region. “The intensive search for the attacker ultimately persuaded the man to turn himself in,” he added.

Two of the hospital's security guards allegedly attacked the director last Sunday following a dispute over disciplinary measures taken against them. They broke his arm and injured his head and other parts of his body using sticks and office furniture.

Al-Zinairi said the man who turned himself in was considered the prime suspect in the case and would appear in court with another man once investigations are completed.

Al-Rashid was taken to hospital where he is still recovering. He was reported to be in good health.
