“Pack your bags and leave or face the consequences and Sena music” Thackeray warned the Pakistani artists and the producers of the show.

“Even after the protests by the Sena and the MNS, Pakistani artists are still around participating in the reality show. Now we will not allow the show to continue. The police should not threaten us with the excuse that they would act against us citing the law and order problem,” Thackeray said in a statement.

“Presently, the drums of Indian pride are being beaten loud. And no matter how intense the protests are, they fall on deaf ears. If by mistake someone’s patriotism is evoked, then we would say that the green venom of Pakistan has entered the country through the ‘Bigg Boss’ reality show. No matter whatever the consequences, the Shiv Sena would not allow the continuation of the show. The police should stop threatening us. We are determined and capable of putting a total stop to the show. We will definitely disrupt the reality show,” Thackeray said in his statement.

On Tuesday afternoon, around 150 Sena workers protested and created ruckus at the ABCL Studios in Lonavala, the hill station in Pune, where the reality show is being shot. They raised slogans and demanded that the two Pakistani artists as well as Abbas Kazmi, the former lawyer of 26/11 Mumbai terror attack convict Ajmal Amir Qasab, who is also a participant in the show be removed immediately.

Dilip Shinde, the deputy superintendent of Pune Rural Police said 24 Sena workers had been detained at the gates of the studio after they tried to get inside. The police had to detain the Sena workers as a precautionary measure, Shinde said adding that the police would also verify if the Pakistani artists were holding valid tourist visas and proper documents and action would be taken if they there are found to be irregularities.

Machindra Kharade, the Sena district chief speaking to the media outside the studio, said agitation by his group has sent a strong signal to the producers of the show that the Sena wants the Pakistani artists and the former lawyer of Qasab out.

A senior police official said that the shooting of the reality show in the studio was not affected by the Sena agitation outside. However, the security at the studio has been beefed up and no one is permitted to enter without verification and strict checking, the officer said.
