The report said the companies dug out 344 tons of raw minerals. "The investment in excavation of minerals and their industrialization will contribute a lot to the national economy," the report said.

The Kingdom has achieved self-sufficiency in raw construction materials. The report said the ministry issued 26 licenses to exploit raw materials of cement, 14 for mining gold, silver, copper, zinc, iron, phosphate and bauxite and 99 licenses to exploit other minerals.
