The directorate general of passports earlier this week already launched Haj passport procedures at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah, Prince Muhammad bin Abdul International Airport in Madinah, the Jeddah Islamic Seaport and checkpoints to Makkah.

Commander of Haj passports police Brig. Ayiedh Al-Harbi said all entrances and checkpoints were supplied with trained personnel and all necessary tools and equipment including computers and other devices to uncover any forgeries.

He said all incoming pilgrims would be fingerprinted to ensure that they do not stay in the country after the expiry of their Haj visas.

Al-Harbi asked all domestic pilgrims to obtain Haj permits and warned against providing transport to illegal local pilgrims.

He said qualified officers man all entrances to Makkah and Madinah to uncover any forged documents and stop attempts by people to perform Haj without permits.
