- MUMBAI: Taking a dig at his one-time mentor Bal Thackeray and the Shiv Sena, former Sena chief minister and now Congress leader and Revenue Minister Narayan Rane, said here on Monday that the Sena has lost its sting and firepower, as there are no longer any fighters left in the party.
Rane’s comments were directed at the airing of the TV reality show ‘Bigg Boss’ which went on despite the agitation by the Sena activists outside the studios in Lonavala where the reality show is being shot. The outspoken minister further went on to say that despite the editorial in the party mouthpiece Saamna threatening a “grinding halt” to the show if two Pakistani artists are not taken off the set, this has not happened because “the Sena only growls but does not bite and there is nobody left in the party to implement its agenda.”
