- ALKHOBAR: A one-day career festival, attended by 51 private and public companies, was held at Prince Muhammad bin Fahd University in Alkhobar on Saturday.
The event — inaugurated by Eastern Province Gov. Prince Muhammad bin Fahd — was organized for the first time at the university. Its aim was to strengthen relations between the university and wider society.
Prince Muhammad expressed happiness at the graduates who participated in the event. He further pointed out the university’s achievements in education, research and community service in the short time since its establishment.
Prince Turki bin Muhammad bin Fahd, vice-chairman of the university’s board of trustees, said the career festival is an occasion to strengthen relationships between the university, its students and Saudi companies. He added that qualified Saudi graduates are the strategic choice for a bright future and that the university aims to connect graduates with jobs that fit their qualifications.
He also said that the university is interested in developing students’ personal skills, innovative thinking, and desire for innovation and creativity.
Issa Al-Ansari, the university’s president, thanked the companies that sponsored the occasion saying that their participation demonstrates their support for the university.
