Following a request by the National Disaster Management Authority of Pakistan, a special arrangement for the transportation of the goods through Saudi Arabian Airlines was made by NATO.

The school has packed relief items in euro pallets as required by NATO. PISJ-ES had earlier contributed 2.2 million Pakistan rupees to the Prime Minister’s Fund and six tons of relief goods were sent via PIA.

“PISJ-ES stands by the country at all times of need; it is our national obligation and we are committed to share it with pride,” said Principal Sehar Kamran. “We express our gratitude to the National Disaster Management Authority for their trust in PISJ-ES; the authority has acknowledged PISJ-ES as one of the distinguished Pakistani institutions abroad,” she added.

“We deeply appreciate the gesture extended by NATO in arranging transportation of relief goods to Pakistan and bearing the cost of a special flight.”

Kuehne + Nagel Ltd., NATO’s airfreight forwarding contractor, arranged the shipment of pallets from the school on Tuesday. They were then airlifted to Pakistan on Wednesday.

“We also wish to thank the ambassador of Pakistan, our students, staff and the community members for their trust in PISJ-ES, and also acknowledge the contributions made by the Turkish Consulate and Turkish community who donated 5,000 blankets and other household items,” said Kamran. “We are also obliged to Akmal Saeed, the school’s link officer, for his continuous support and guidance.”
