- RIYADH: The Ministry of Commerce and Industry approved a SR20,000 fine for a major chain store in Riyadh after it was found to be selling a product higher than its original price, Al-Jazirah reported.
During a routine inspection, members from the ministry found that the store was selling a product for SR9, when the recommended retail price was SR7. A special committee from the ministry slapped the hefty fine on the store and urged all citizens to report such cases to the ministry on their free number.
