Health Minister Dr. Abdullah Al-Rabeeah said that the three-day event would provide international participants with a snapshot of the Saudi experience in managing health care in large gatherings, especially during Haj and Umrah.

“The meet aims to share international experiences on mass gatherings and its health care implications in light of latest developments in the field,” he said.

“Also, it aims at sharing with the world the rich and long Saudi experience in managing mass gatherings, especially during the Umrah and Haj seasons, while exploring ways of improving this experience by learning from more than 500 international and national health care officials and experts.”

Al-Rabeeah added that the conference will also tackle the implications of international health regulations on mass gathering management for disease control and Haj as a model for mass gathering medicine and communicable diseases.
