- RIYADH: GCC Secretary-General Abdul Rahman Al-Attiyah has voiced grave concerns regarding reports published recently on the killings and widespread torture by US forces in Iraq.
In a press statement on Sunday, Al-Attiyah called on the US to conduct a transparent investigation on the published reports and crimes against humanity, including violations by official entities.
He also called on the International Criminal Court to open a comprehensive and just investigation on the issue, so that those responsible be held accountable for crimes against innocent Iraqis.
The WikiLeaks website recently posted about 400,000 leaked classified reports on the Internet which contain accounts of abuse and misconduct by Iraqi authorities and US forces.
