The projects include construction of a road linking the industrial city with Ras Al-Zour and academic buildings for Jubail Industrial College. The commission will make use of the expertise of an international consultancy firm to expand King Fahd Industrial Port and Jubail Commercial Port, an official statement said.

Another contract has been signed to establish an urban center in the industrial city. The SR43.4 million project includes a conference hall, a multipurpose hall and administrative office rooms.

Meanwhile, Prince Saud, who is also chairman of Saudi Basic Industries Corp. (SABIC), held talks with Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer at his office in Riyadh. They discussed issues of mutual concern and prospects of cooperation in information technology and application of plastic engineering to meet Microsoft’s requirements.
