According to a statement from the Commander of Joint Operations in Najran Brig. Abdul Rahman Al-Shahrani, the security patrol spotted a car traveling on an unfrequented desert road in an apparent attempt to bypass police.

The security officials chased the car for some time and stopped it. The car was carrying 12 people without valid documents. The driver said he was smuggling them to Riyadh.

Camel causes accident

Two people traveling in a car were killed when their car collided with a stray camel at the Khalidah center on the Najran-Wadi Al-Dawassir road on Monday, according to spokesman of Civil Defense in Najran Capt. Amir  Al-Shahrani.

The bodies were taken out of the car by the Civil Defense team. One of the persons killed was identified as Misfer Hadi Al-Qahtani, 25. The other person was not identified.
