Improving the economic climate and attracting foreign investments in the private and public realm are the primary objectives of the 2010 Afghanistan International Investment Conference (AIIC).

The Afghanistan International Investment Conference will commence with a keynote speech from President Hamid Karzai and UAE Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The conference will host ministers, diplomatic delegates, prominent businessmen from around the world and heads of international organizations.

The AIIC will take place after a sequence of high-level international meetings on Afghanistan in 2010, most notably in London, Kabul, Istanbul and Lisbon. These prominent international gatherings all share the same vision of a prosperous and peaceful future for Afghanistan based on security and economic development.
