The grisly discovery was made after the bag started emitting a foul smell. Local residents notified officers about the bag, telling them that they suspected a body was inside. Forensics teams and officers went to the location to collect evidence. The body was already decomposing.

Early examinations revealed the body was of a man in his 30s and that he had been killed days ago. The victim had been tied up and parts of his body were either cut or decomposing.

The body is being kept in a Taif morgue for identification. The case is under investigation.
