- NEW YORK: Sirius XM Radio Inc will continue to broadcast National Football League games for five more years, while it is still considering the fate of its key on-air personality, Howard Stern.
Sirius said on Tuesday the satellite radio network reached an agreement with the NFL to continue broadcasting the league’s games live nationwide through the Super Bowl in 2016.
It also said it now has 20 million subscribers. The company’s contract with radio shock-jock Stern expires in December, and some investors are worried that subscribers might quit should Stern not stay.
